A playwright hopes that the days of the week are funny. He tries to get a waiter to brainstorm with him as he struggles to write a short play for a contest, but the waiter keeps poking holes in the idea. (The roles in this play can be played by men or women.)
No Ideas Today was chosen by Ashland Community Theater in Ashland, MA for its "Dinner Conversations" production scheduled for Dec 1-3, 2016. These are pictures from the production.
It was also a semi-finalist for the 2013 Minnesota Shorts Play Festival.
It was also a semifinalist for Little Fish Theatre's 2013 Pick of the Vine festival in Southern California and it was named as a semifinalist for the Lakeshore Players' 8th Annual Ten-Minute Playwriting Contest in Minnesota.
No Ideas Today was also included in the 2012 North Park Playwrights Festival in San Diego. It was performed on Oct. 19-21 and they sent me these pictures.
It was originally written and performed for the 2009 Bootcamp Showcase for the Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region.
